# Frost Vaults

Frost Vaults are the primary way users interact with Frost Yield.

Each vault is designed around a different risk profile, allowing users to choose the type of yield exposure that best matches their preferences. Instead of forcing users to manually select individual strategies, Frost Vaults organize opportunities into clearer categories based on Yield Temperature, liquidity, return potential, and risk.

The goal is to make participation simple:

> **Choose your vault. Understand the risk. Let Frost route the strategy.**

### Why Vaults Matter

The RWA and stablecoin yield market can be difficult to navigate.

Users may be faced with many different strategies across treasuries, stablecoin lending, private credit, liquidity pools, and structured yield products. Each opportunity may have its own APY, lockup period, liquidity profile, smart contract exposure, issuer risk, and redemption terms.

Frost Vaults simplify this experience by grouping strategies into defined risk categories.

A user does not need to analyze every individual yield source from scratch. Instead, they can choose a vault that reflects their desired balance between stability and return potential.

### Vault Categories

Frost Yield is designed around four primary vault categories:

**Snowcap Vault**\
**Glacier Vault**\
**Aurora Vault**\
**Blizzard Vault**

Each vault represents a different point on the risk spectrum.

### Snowcap Vault

The Snowcap Vault is Frost Yield’s most conservative vault category.

It is designed for users who prioritize stability, liquidity, and lower volatility over higher return potential.

Snowcap may route exposure toward colder strategies such as:

* tokenized treasury products
* money market-style instruments
* high-liquidity stablecoin lending
* conservative cash-equivalent strategies
* lower-volatility RWA exposure

The Snowcap Vault is intended for users who want a more defensive approach to yield.

It does not mean the vault is risk-free. Users may still face smart contract risk, issuer risk, custody risk, regulatory risk, redemption risk, and market-related changes. However, within the Frost Yield system, Snowcap is designed to represent the lowest relative risk profile among available vault options.

### Glacier Vault

The Glacier Vault is Frost Yield’s balanced vault category.

It is designed for users who want moderate return potential while still maintaining a controlled risk profile.

Glacier may route exposure across a mix of colder and cooler strategies, including:

* stablecoin lending
* tokenized treasury exposure
* diversified RWA products
* money market-style instruments
* selected credit exposure with stronger risk controls

The Glacier Vault is intended for users who want a middle-ground approach.

It may carry more risk than Snowcap, but it is not designed to be highly aggressive. Glacier is built for users who want a balance between yield potential, diversification, and risk awareness.

### Aurora Vault

The Aurora Vault is Frost Yield’s growth-oriented vault category.

It is designed for users who are comfortable taking on more risk in exchange for higher return potential.

Aurora may route exposure toward warmer strategies such as:

* private credit opportunities
* higher-utilization stablecoin lending
* structured RWA products
* liquidity-based yield
* strategies with longer redemption windows
* diversified higher-yield opportunities

The Aurora Vault may offer stronger return potential than Snowcap or Glacier, but it may also carry increased liquidity risk, counterparty risk, smart contract exposure, and variability in returns.

Aurora is intended for users who understand that higher yield potential comes with higher uncertainty.

### Blizzard Vault

The Blizzard Vault is Frost Yield’s most aggressive vault category.

It is designed for users who are seeking the highest return potential available through the Frost Yield framework and who understand the elevated risks involved.

Blizzard may route exposure toward Hot Yield strategies, including:

* aggressive stablecoin lending opportunities
* lower-liquidity RWA strategies
* newer or higher-risk protocols
* complex structured yield products
* incentive-driven opportunities
* strategies with greater market sensitivity

Blizzard is not designed for users seeking conservative exposure.

It may involve higher volatility, lower liquidity, longer redemption windows, reduced predictability, and greater risk of loss. Users interacting with Blizzard should receive clear risk warnings before participating.

### Vault Comparison

| Vault    | Risk Profile    | Strategy Temperature | User Type                                               |
| -------- | --------------- | -------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- |
| Snowcap  | Conservative    | Cold                 | Prioritizes stability and liquidity                     |
| Glacier  | Balanced        | Cold / Cool          | Wants moderate return potential                         |
| Aurora   | Growth-oriented | Cool / Warm          | Accepts higher risk for higher potential yield          |
| Blizzard | Aggressive | Warm / Hot | Seeks maximum yield potential and accepts elevated risk |

### Adaptive Vault Allocation

Frost Vaults are not static.

Each vault may adjust its exposure over time based on market conditions, liquidity, strategy performance, and risk signals.

For example:

* Snowcap may reduce exposure to a strategy if liquidity weakens.
* Glacier may shift more heavily toward colder yield during market stress.
* Aurora may reduce allocation to private credit if repayment or counterparty risk increases.
* Blizzard may pause new routing into Hot strategies during elevated volatility.

This adaptive design allows Frost Yield to respond as conditions change.

The goal is not to guarantee outcomes. The goal is to keep vault routing aligned with each vault’s intended risk profile.

### User Choice and Transparency

Frost Vaults are designed to give users a simple choice while still showing clear information.

Before entering a vault, users should be able to review:

* vault risk profile
* target strategy categories
* current estimated APY
* liquidity conditions
* withdrawal or redemption rules
* current Yield Temperature exposure
* key risks
* whether any strategies are in Freeze Mode review

This helps users understand what they are choosing before participating.

### Why Frost Vaults Matter

Frost Vaults turn a complex yield market into a simpler user experience.

Instead of asking users to become analysts, Frost Yield gives them structured options based on risk preference.

A conservative user can choose Snowcap.\
A balanced user can choose Glacier.\
A growth-oriented user can choose Aurora.\
An aggressive user can choose Blizzard.

Each vault gives users a clearer way to access RWA and stablecoin yield while understanding the type of risk they are taking.

Frost Vaults support the core Frost Yield mission:

> **Make real-world yield easier to understand, easier to access, and easier to evaluate by risk.**
